Where to Find the Best Burgers in Singapore
There’s nothing quite like biting into a mouthwatering burger. Juicy beef patties, pillowy buns and toppings like crispy bacon work together to create a texturally complex experience that’s totally addictive. But not all burgers are created equal, which is why we separated the wheat from the chaff so you don’t have to. When it comes to finding the best burgers in Singapore, we’ve got you covered.
The best burgers in Singapore aren’t always made with beef
When we say burgers, we don’t necessarily mean beef between two buns. In this day and age, the term burger has expanded to include options for meat lovers, vegetarians, vegans and pescatarians alike. So it really doesn’t matter if your burger patty is made of tempeh, chicken, beans, tofu or ground beef. If it tastes good then follow your bliss.
Singapore’s best burgers come in all shapes and sizes, so we decided to put together a list of our favourite restaurants so you can find your perfect burger.
Win big in our #bitethisway contest
And while you’re thinking about burgers, you can also win 50 bucks to spend at the first four restaurants listed in this article through our #bitethisway contest.
Here’s how it works:
1. Get on Instagram and upload a picture (or video, Boomerang or Hyperlapse) and let us see how you eat your burger2. In the caption, explain the way you eat your burger and include the hashtag #bitethisway3. Add the restaurant’s location or tag the restaurant’s Instagram @username4. Make sure your account is set to public so we can see your post!
You can take your burger picture at any restaurant in Singapore, but you’ll get extra points if you book at a Quandoo restaurant. Multiple entries are allowed, but remember, you have to eat the burgers at a restaurant, not make your own!
Kaw Kaw
28 Aliwal Street, Singapore, 199918
Fully halal, fully delicious… what you’ll find at Kaw Kaw are easily some of the best burgers in Singapore. Brought to you by Makan State, one of Singapore’s premier halal food suppliers, this restaurant is known for its decadent creations like macaroni and cheese with beef bacon, fried portobello mushroom fries and alcohol-free cocktails that are perfect for cooling off on a humid Singapore afternoon.
This hip spot inside the Aliwal Art Center has become a go-to for the city-state’s burger lovers. There really is something for everyone at Kaw Kaw – you’ll have the choice from burgers made from lamb, portobello mushrooms, fried fish, duck breast and more. Our recommendation? The smoky beef bacon burger: 165 grams of flame-grilled beef topped with halal-friendly beef bacon, cheddar, jalapenos and a smokey sauce. It’s without a doubt one of the best burgers in Singapore.
The Workbench Bistro
332 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1, #01-1881, Singapore 560332
You really haven’t lived until you’ve eaten at The Workbench Bistro. This place is famous for its waffles – we’re talking about flavours like red velvet, purple sweet potato and their own invention, the S’moreffle – and its simple, industrial-chic decor. But we’re not here to talk about waffles or design. Let’s get to the good stuff: the burgers.
The Workbench Bistro only serves a few different types of burgers, and we appreciate the simplicity. If you want a burger in the traditional sense, get the Egg Lava Beef Burger topped with a half boiled egg, grilled bacon and cheese. Although, if you’re willing to branch out, you’ll be rewarded. After all, the salted egg chicken burger is the reason we love this place so much. It’s an homage to Singaporean cuisine in the form of a burger, and it doesn’t get any better than that.

Cali Cafe @ Rochester
31, Rochester Drive #01-02, Park Avenue Hotel and Suite, Singapore 138637
The name says it all. Cali Cafe serves California-inspired cuisine that’s fresh, tasty and always creative. You’ll find a menu that takes inspiration from all corners of the world, from Singapore all the way to Paris. But like we said, we’re not here to talk about other things. We’re here to discuss the best burgers in Singapore, not spaghetti or chicken tikka (but hey, they do a good job on those, too!).
There’s no question about what to get here – the Wagyu beef burger. Simplicity at its finest, the beef speaks for itself. If you prefer your food uncomplicated but packed with flavour, you have to get yourself over to Cali Cafe @ Rochester.

G Bar & Grill
201 Henderson Road #01-06 , Singapore 159545
G Bar & Grill is the only sports bar on our list. Not only is it a nice spot to drink, but it also serves delicious burgers that we can’t get out of our heads. With sky-high ceilings and an outdoor dining space that’s perfect for whiling away the hours with a beer or two, this bar and restaurant has space for groups big and small.
In addition to being one of the coolest spots to watch the big game on the island, the burgers here are superb. Our favourite would have to be the Wagyu burger – piled high with cheese, egg, bacon and veggies, this dish is an absolute crowd pleaser. G Bar & Grill is also known to have affordable drink specials that will keep your thirst quenched while you make your way through their extensive menu.
Two Blur Guys
1 Tras Link #01-13, Singapore 078867
If you like your burgers to have lots of bells and whistles, head to Two Blur Guys. Easily one of the most well-known burger joints in Singapore, this restaurant is beloved for its inventive take on the American classic. Making everything from scratch, including the whole-grain buns, this hamburger hotspot is off the charts.
Two Blur Guys is not afraid to take risks, and it definitely pays off in terms of taste. There’s really no limit when it comes to blurgers here. And no, that’s not a typo – the burgers at Two Blur Guys are actually called blurgers, not burgers. Want to test your limits? Get the smoked salmon blurger made with layers of Norwegian smoked salmon and topped with fresh avocado sauce between two homemade buns.
